Your pilot, Scott Newman, was born and raised in Petersburg Alaska. He grew up fishing commercially and has fished all over Alaska including the Bering Sea, Gulf of Alaska (including Bristol Bay), and, of course, all of Southeast Alaska. He started flying when we was 19 years old but has been around floatplanes all his life as they’re such an integral part of the way of life in Southeast Alaska. He’s flown commercial air taxi throughout the years and has raised his family of four, with Cindy his wife of 32 years, in Petersburg.
His Dehavilland Beaver is maintained to the highest standard possible and has noise cancelling headsets for quiet comfort and communication with the pilot and other passengers.
Scott takes every effort to provide a smooth and safe flight and enjoys conversing with the passengers making for an interactive and interpretive flight of the surrounding area and wildlife.
So hop aboard and feel safe in the knowledge that you are with a local that provides in depth knowledge of Southeast Alaska and can share his love of the land he calls home!
